The Bossy Books premiered at Hedben Bridge Picturehouse as part of the towns first animation festival Uncanny Valley...

I was judging at this festival and as such The Bossy Books was not in competition, although had it been it may have taken the audience award given the reaction of one lovely fellow judge Kaye who was having the time of her life in her cinema seat.  Yes I'm happy to say that we did good kids, we made her mascara run.  Rivers of the stuff.

It's always a very nervous occasion a premiere and yes it's a collaborative effort and yes the kids who were there may have also felt a little panic about what was to unfold on the big screen, but all worries flew away when the film began to have it's audible and visual effect on the 100 strong audience members.

There is no doubt in my mind that this years Working Class Film's trilogy of short live action/animation films are something special and I look forward to celebrating them with invited guests at the HAFTAS on Friday the 28th of June.
